BMW Open

The BMW Open are Munich's clay-court tournament on the ATP Tour: an ATP 500 event played in April at the MTTC Iphitos club at the northern end of the Englischer Garten, with 32 players in the singles draw and 16 pairs in the doubles. The week sits in the first half of the European clay season, between the Masters in Monte-Carlo and the tournaments in Madrid and Rome.

The club was founded in 1892 and the tournament dates to 1899, first played on grass because the club had nothing else; it has carried the BMW name since 1990. Munich was a 250-level event until 2024 and has been a 500 since 2025. Alexander Zverev and Philipp Kohlschreiber share the record with three titles each, and the winner leaves with a car from the title sponsor and, the organiser says, a pair of lederhosen.
