The mark

The mark is a tennis ball reduced to its two seams: a disc with two arcs cut out of it. It stands on its own, without a tile or a frame, and sits on a black surface only where an icon is expected, in a browser tab or on a home screen.

It carries no colour. On a light surface it is black, on a dark one white; the seams are cut-outs and show whatever lies beneath. The publication's one colour is the green of the live dot, and that stays with the live dot.

PNG at 1024 × 1024 pixels, transparent unless the file carries a tile. SVG scales to any size.

Colours

The publication is black and white: two surfaces, two inks and a single chromatic colour. The light theme sets ink on paper, the dark one white on black; the green is the light theme's value.

Rules

In short: use the files as they are. Questions and other formats to kontakt@fifthset.app.

  1. 01Use the files unchanged: no recolouring, no distortion, no rotation, no effects.
  2. 02The bare mark needs no frame and no tile. Where a surface is needed, take the circle or the square variant.
  3. 03Clear space: keep at least half the ball's diameter free on every side.
  4. 04Minimum size: 16 pixels across on screen, 4 millimetres in print.
  5. 05The name is written “FifthSet”, one word with a capital S. Not “Fifth Set”, not “FIFTHSET”, not “fifthset” in running text.
  6. 06No use that suggests FifthSet is a partner, an endorser or the author.
